Privacy Commitment
TalentHook is committed to protecting your privacy. Because
we gather certain types of information about and from our users, we feel you
should fully understand how we capture and use that information. This
TalentHook Privacy Statement applies to our websites and services, offline
product support services, as well as our TalentHook software.
Security of Personal Information
TalentHook is committed to protecting the security of your
personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures
to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use,
alteration or disclosure. All information that is collected by a TalentHook web
server or sent to TalentHook will be securely stored and processed in the
United States.
Sharing of Personal Information
Except as described in this Privacy Statement, personal
information that you provide will not be transferred to third parties.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
Contact Info: When you request a demo of TalentHook,
or inquire about any TalentHook product or service, we will ask you to provide
personal information, such as your name, email address, and telephone number.
We will only use this information to communicate with you concerning our
products and services.
Subscription Info: If you choose to sign up for a
paid subscription to TalentHook, we will ask for additional information, such
as your credit card number and billing address, as well as information about
the offices and users that will be using our products and services. This
information will be used to create a TalentHook billing account, as well as to
setup your individual TalentHook software account(s). For your security, we
will not ask for you to transmit your credit card information over the
Internet. Your billing and credit card information will be securely stored in
our accounting system, which is only accessible by authorized accounting
personnel. Your TalentHook software account information will be securely stored
on our servers, which are accessible by your sales representatives, trainers,
and support technicians, as well as the TalentHook software. When processing
credit card payments, we will securely transmit your credit card information to
our merchant account provider.
TalentHook Login Info: In the TalentHook software,
you will be asked to provide login information, such as login id and password,
for your TalentHook user account. This information will be securely transmitted
to our servers each time you run a new search within TalentHook. The login
information will be used to verify that you have a valid and current TalentHook
subscription.
Job Board Login Info: In the TalentHook software, you
will be asked to provide login information, such as user name and password, for
each of your third party job board accounts. This information will be securely
stored on your computer. When you run a search, the TalentHook software will
transmit the login information to the appropriate job board in the same manner
that a web browser would transmit it. A few job boards provide alternative
interfaces for automated search tools, and in those cases, we will transmit the
login information in the manner requested by the job board. The TalentHook
software will not transmit or share your job board login information with any
computer or server, except for the job board’s web server.
Tracking Item Info: By default, all tracking items
created in the TalentHook software will be transmitted to a TalentHook web
server for storage, and will also be transmitted to every copy of TalentHook used
within your company. This is done to make tracking items visible to every
TalentHook user within your company, aiding recruiters in sharing relevant
information about job candidates. If any personal information is entered into
tracking items, then that information will be shared with all TalentHook users
within your company. Your tracking items will never be shared with users
outside of your company. If you do not wish for this information to be shared
with any other users, or you wish to limit the sharing of this information to
users within a single office instead of your entire company, you can contact a
support technician to have this feature disabled or changed.
Resume Info: All resumes downloaded and stored by the
TalentHook software will contain personal information. Resumes will be
downloaded directly from the job board or website, and stored as html files on your
computer, or on a local network share selected by you. The resume information
will not be transmitted to any other server or computer.
History Preservation Info: Some offices may wish to
enforce the same history preservation settings for all TalentHook users within
that office. Only in this case will the history preservation settings be
securely stored on a TalentHook web server, and retrieved by each copy of
TalentHook when the application is loaded. The office-wide history preservation
settings can be changed by the administrator using the TalentHook owner’s area
website.
Error info: When the TalentHook software encounters
an unexpected error, it will send information about that error, as well as your
TalentHook login Id, to a TalentHook web server. Other than your login Id, we
do not intentionally collect any personal information in this error report. This
information will be used by TalentHook support technicians, quality assurance
testers, and software engineers to provide you with better service and product.
When you ask for technical support, the support technicians will be able to
review any error reports submitted by your copy of TalentHook, enabling them to
provide the proper solution for your particular problem. Error reports are
stored on our server for a limited time, and are then permanently destroyed.
Software Configuration Info: The TalentHook software
is more than just a desktop application; it is also a software subscription
service. TalentHook’s subscription service works in much the same way as an
antivirus subscription service: the software must be frequently updated to
allow it to provide optimal support for all of the job boards and other
resources that it supports. Each time you start the TalentHook software, and
each time you start a new search within TalentHook, the software will make sure
that it has the latest updates installed. When checking for updates, TalentHook
will send information about your current installation, as well as your login Id
to the TalentHook web server. This information is used to determine which
updates need to be automatically installed.
Search Info: Each time you run a search, TalentHook
will send a copy of the search terms and parameters, as well as your TalentHook
login Id, to a TalentHook web server. Other than your login Id, we do not
intentionally collect any personal information during the transmission of
search criteria. This information will be used by TalentHook support
technicians, quality assurance testers, and software engineers to provide you
with better service. When you report problems with a search, the support
technicians will be able to review the exact search criteria you used for that
search to suggest changes that could be made to your criteria to allow you to
obtain better search results.
Changes to this Privacy Statement
TalentHook may occasionally update this Privacy Statement.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of the Privacy Statement will be updated
with every revision. We encourage you to periodically check this Privacy
Statement to keep informed of how TalentHook is protecting your privacy. If we
decide to materially change our Privacy Statement, we will also send a notice
of changes through a Broadcast Message within the TalentHook software.
